Daniel J. Connelly

Dan Connelly, Senior Vice President and Compliance Counsel at ML Strategies in Boston, is a lawyer and lobbyist with over two decades of experience guiding clients through the legislative, regulatory, and political landscape. He represents businesses and trade associations with interests before state and local governments, advising on policy development, advocacy strategy, and lobbying compliance.  

Dan also counsels clients on lobbying registration and disclosure requirements, offering tailored guidance in complex compliance environments. 

Prior to joining ML Strategies, Dan served as chief legal counsel to the Massachusetts Senate Committee on Ways and Means, where he managed the review of legislation and played a lead role in drafting the state’s multibillion-dollar annual budget. He also worked as Legislative Counsel in the Boston office of a major international law firm and served as executive director of the Product Management Alliance, a national organization of product manufacturers and organizations.  

Dan serves as a strategic resource to clients across industries, combining deep institutional knowledge with a results-driven approach to government affairs.
