ML Strategies Advances Healthcare Government Affairs and Policy Leadership with Former HHS Executive
WASHINGTON, DC — ML Strategies, a wholly owned consulting subsidiary of Mintz, welcomes Traci L. Vitek as Senior Vice President, expanding the firm’s healthcare government affairs and federal policy capabilities.
Traci brings more than two decades of experience across Congress, federal agencies, and the private sector, advising clients on health care policy, legislative strategy, and executive branch engagement. Her background and relationships significantly strengthen ML Strategies’ ability to help clients navigate complex regulatory environments and advance priorities before Congress and key federal health agencies.
“Traci’s deep experience and legislative credibility significantly enhance our healthcare policy platform,” said Alex Hecht, Executive Vice President & Director of Operations. “Her arrival reflects our continued investment in building a strong, bipartisan healthcare government affairs practice that complements Mintz’s premier healthcare legal capabilities.”
Traci will advise clients across high-growth healthcare sectors, including digital health and emerging technologies, organ procurement and transplantation, medical devices and life sciences, health systems and provider organizations, and federal healthcare procurement.
Before joining ML Strategies, Traci spent nearly a decade in senior roles at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), most recently serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs. In that role, she oversaw legislative portfolios for multiple agencies and helped shape policy related to telemedicine, health information technology, cybersecurity, and public health programs. She most recently served as Director of Federal Health Policy at a national consulting firm, advising clients across the public, commercial, and state and local health sectors on legislative and regulatory matters.
“ML Strategies offers a unique opportunity to help healthcare organizations align policy advocacy, regulatory strategy, and legal execution,” said Traci. “I’m excited to work alongside Mintz’s Health Care Practice to help clients navigate complex regulatory environments and advance priorities before Congress and key federal health agencies in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.”
Traci earned her JD, with a concentration in health law, from Michigan State University College of Law and her BA from Indiana University.
