Regional Finalists Gather for DOE’s National Clean Energy Business Plan Competition at Mintz and ML Strategies’ D.C. Office

This week, young clean energy entrepreneurs will come to Mintz and ML Strategies’ Washington, D.C. office for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) second National Clean Energy Business Plan Competition.

The competition, which was designed to provide student participants with the skills to take energy technologies out of the lab and into the marketplace, will evaluate the winners of six federally-funded regional competitions based on a variety of factors, including their clean energy impact, solution creativity, execution and financial strategy, market and customer knowledge, and team composition, chemistry and commitment.

Mintz and ML Strategies are proud to once again host the competition’s expert judges, industry leaders, and six regional competition winners. This year’s finalists include:

  • Bearing Analytics, Purdue University
  • Invironment, Brigham Young University
  • Bioadhesive Alliance Inc., North Carolina A&T University
  • SiNode Systems, Northwestern University
  • Pyro-E, University of California Berkeley
  • Picasolar, University of Arkansas

Visit The U.S. DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy website for more information on the regional winners’ technologies, and check back with Energy & Clean Technology Matters coverage of the competition and information on the national winner.
