Myria Garcia, Manager of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at ML Strategies in Washington, DC, supports clients in achieving their policy objectives through legislative and regulatory engagement. She assists organizations in navigating federal policy processes and provides research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Myria utilizes her experience working with congressional offices, government affairs teams, and advocacy organizations to pursue effective engagement strategies and has experience advising clients on federal financing applications.
Prior to joining ML Strategies full-time, Myria held government relations internships at a national lobbying law firm and on Capitol Hill with former U.S. Representative Ed Perlmutter (D–CO). In these roles, she prepared memoranda for congressional hearings and think tanks, engaged with clients on energy and international issues, and supported policy teams through legislative research and briefings. She also previously served as a government relations intern at ML Strategies.
Myria earned a BA in International Studies from American University, with a concentration in Justice, Ethics, and Human Rights. While at American, she was an Olsons Scholar with the School of International Service, a delegate to the Model United Nations Travel Team, and served for three years as chair of the AMERIMUNC International Relations Society.
